Waiting on Wednesday is a meme hosted by @ BreakingTheSpine where you share with the world one book that you're anticipating the release of or getting your hands on.

Hello guys, this week's WOW is featuring The Raven King by Maggie Stiefvater. I haven't done this in a while because I haven't been reading any books, but I loved the first book SO much that I had to be excited for the last one.. makes sense right?  I also haven't continued on with the series yet, so feel free to flood the comments with how much you love this series so I can get it done already! Encourage me guys..

The Raven King by Maggie Stiefvater
The Raven King (The Raven Boys #4)
Expected Date of Release: 26th of April 2016

I'll include the synopsis for the first book for this one so I could refrain from spoiling the series for anyone who hasn't read it yet, including myself.

Synopsis

Every year, Blue Sargent stands next to her clairvoyant mother as the soon-to-be dead walk past. Blue never sees them--until this year, when a boy emerges from the dark and speaks to her.

His name is Gansey, a rich student at Aglionby, the local private school. Blue has a policy of staying away from Aglionby boys. Known as Raven Boys, they can only mean trouble.

But Blue is drawn to Gansey, in a way she can't entirely explain. He is on a quest that has encompassed three other Raven Boys: Adam, the scholarship student who resents the privilege around him; Ronan, the fierce soul whose emotions range from anger to despair; and Noah, the taciturn watcher who notices many things but says very little.

For as long as she can remember, Blue has been warned that she will cause her true love to die. She doesn't believe in true love, and never thought this would be a problem. But as her life becomes caught up in the strange and sinister world of the Raven Boys, she's not so sure anymore.

PS, I reviewed this first book if you'd like to check it out, you can HERE

What are YOU waiting on? I'd love to know!

Waiting on Wednesday #6 - This Is Where the World Ends by Amy Zhang

Waiting on Wednesday is a meme hosted by @ BreakingTheSpine where you share with the world one book that you're anticipating the release of or getting your hands on.

Goodreads Summary

The heart-wrenching new novel about best friends on a collision course with the real world, from the author of Falling into Place.

Janie and Micah, Micah and Janie. That’s how it’s been ever since elementary school, when Janie Vivian moved next door. Janie says Micah is everything she is not. Where Micah is shy, Janie is outgoing. Where Micah loves music, Janie loves art. It’s the perfect friendship, as long as no one finds out about it.

But when Janie is date-raped by the most popular guy in school—a guy she’s had a crush on for years—she finds herself ostracized by all the people she thought were her friends. Now only Micah seems to believe she’s telling the truth. But when even Micah expresses doubt about whether or not she was “asking for it,” it leads to disastrous consequences, and Janie Vivian goes missing.

Using a nonlinear writing style and dual narrators, Amy Zhang’s astonishing second novel masterfully reveals the circumstances surrounding Janie’s disappearance.

Expected Publication: March 22nd 2016
Number of Pages: 304 - Hardcover

Waiting on Wednesday #5 -- A Work in Progress by Connor Franta

Waiting on Wednesday is a meme hosted by @ BreakingTheSpine where you share with the world one book that you're anticipating the release of or getting your hands on.

[PS, I've written that post a long time ago, but for some strange reason, I forgot to post it. I'm sorry, but yay! This book is out now. I insisted on posting it because I'm genuinely excited for this one and want to spread the love.]

Goodreads Summary:

In this intimate memoir of life beyond the camera, Connor Franta shares the lessons he has learned on his journey from small-town boy to Internet sensation—so far. Here, Connor offers a look at his Midwestern upbringing as one of four children in the home and one of five in the classroom; his struggles with identity, body image, and sexuality in his teen years; and his decision to finally pursue his creative and artistic passions in his early twenties, setting up his thrilling career as a YouTube personality, philanthropist, entrepreneur, and tastemaker.

Exploring his past with insight and humor, his present with humility, and his future with hope, Connor reveals his private struggles while providing heartfelt words of wisdom for young adults. His words will resonate with anyone coming of age in the digital era, but at the core is a timeless message for people of all ages: don’t be afraid to be yourself and to go after what you truly want.

This full-color collection includes photography and childhood clippings provided by Connor and is a must-have for anyone inspired by his journey.

Author: Connor Franta
Title: A Work in Progress
Expected publication: April 21st 2015
Number of pages: Paperback, 224 pages
Publisher: Atria/Keywords Press

When I heard that THE Connor Franta was coming out with a book, I knew that it would be completely artistic and I love everything about this, from the book cover to the title!

I usually am not with the idea of YouTubers writing books and using their fame to sell them, but I am really excited for this book!! Connor is a great person and a memoir is pretty logical for a famous person, I would love to see things from his perspective.

Waiting on Wednesday #4 -- November 9 by Colleen Hoover

Waiting on Wednesday is a meme hosted by @ BreakingTheSpine where you share with the world one book that you're anticipating the release of or getting your hands on.

Goodreads Summary:

This is a love story between a guy (me) and a girl (Fallon).
I think.
Can it even be considered a love story if it doesn’t end with love?
Mysteries end when the mystery is solved.
Biographies end when the life story has been told.
Love stories should end with love, right?
Maybe I’m wrong, then. Maybe this isn’t a love story. If you ask me…I’d say this might even be considered a tragedy.
Whatever it is—however it ends—I promised I would tell it. So without further ado.

Once upon a time…I met a girl.
The girl.

Expected publication: November 10th 2015

Another Colleen Hoover book and I can't contain my excitement! She is a genius and by far my favorite new adult author.
HER BOOKS GIVE ME THE FEELS. I've also been on a strange Colleen Hoover binge.. A GOOD strange though! haha

How freaking excited are you for this?! Comment down below your favorite Colleen Hoover book if you're reading this <3

Waiting on Wednesday #3 -- Vanishing Girls by Lauren Oliver

Goodreads Summary:

New York Times bestselling author Lauren Oliver delivers a gripping story about two sisters inexorably altered by a terrible accident.

Dara and Nick used to be inseparable, but that was before the accident that left Dara's beautiful face scarred and the two sisters totally estranged. When Dara vanishes on her birthday, Nick thinks Dara is just playing around. But another girl, nine-year-old Madeline Snow, has vanished, too, and Nick becomes increasingly convinced that the two disappearances are linked. Now Nick has to find her sister, before it's too late.

In this edgy and compelling novel, Lauren Oliver creates a world of intrigue, loss, and suspicion as two sisters search to find themselves, and each other.

"Alarming and uplifting, a rare psychological thriller that has a kind heart at its center. Read it with all the lights on." -- E. Lockhart, author of We Were Liars.

Author Name: Lauren Oliver
Number of Pages: 368 pages
Expected publication: March 10th 2015 (11 days before my bday, yay)
Publisher:  HarperCollins

About the Author
(ps, she's one of my favorite authors)

Lauren Oliver comes from a family of writers and so has always (mistakenly) believed that spending hours in front of the computer every day, mulling over the difference between “chortling” and “chuckling,” is normal. She has always been an avid reader.

She attended the University of Chicago, where she continued to be as impractical as possible by majoring in philosophy and literature. After college, she attended the MFA program at NYU and worked briefly as the world’s worst editorial assistant, and only marginally better assistant editor, at a major publishing house in New York. Her major career contributions during this time were flouting the corporate dress code at every possible turn and repeatedly breaking the printer. Before I Fall is her first published novel.

She is deeply grateful for the chance to continue writing, as she has never been particularly good at anything else.
