Filippa's Questions

1. Books that would be perfect as movies/TV-shows according to you?

Definitely the Shatter Me series, when I was reading the books I kept thinking that they MUST be turned into movies! (Other than the fact that pretty much most dystopias have to be turned into movies.)

I apologize for missing Unravel Me #2.

2. The latest book you gave 5 out of 5 stars?

Confess by Colleen Hoover! It was a beautiful book, up there with Maybe Someday as my two favorite Colleen Hoover books! Check out my review here.

3. Your favorite book covers at the moment?

A Thousand Pieces of You by Claudia Gray & The Strange and Beautiful Sorrows of Ava Lavender by Leslye Walton will remain the best book covers I've ever laid my eyes on. Unfortunately, I don't own any of them, but I'm saving to buy the hardcovers.

4. Two character from different books that would make a perfect couple?

Gale from The Hunger Games and Mare from Red Queen. Am I the only one who sees them together? They're both very family oriented and I don't know man..

5. Your favorite book series? Try to choose just ONE series!

Hands down Harry Potter, how dare anybody chose anything else for this one?
(I also apologize for missing HP and the Sorcerer's Stone, They couldn't all fit in the box set for some strange reason.)

6. Your favorite stand alone?

The Book Thief by Markus Zusak. It just touched me in a way that no other book did. Check out more of what I thought of it here

7. A book that you thought you'd love, but you didn't?

Ugly Love by Colleen Hoover. That book was a nightmare dressed in a day dream. (Why am I quoting Taylor Swift?) But seriously, I have just read and reviewed this book.. if you'd like to check it out, go ahead here

8. If you could hang out with a fictional character, who would you choose?

Hermoine from Harry Potter. She is such an intellectual character and I'd love spending time with her. Either her or Noah Shaw from The Unbecoming of Mara Dyer, just because he's both hot and funny.

9. Your favorite genre?

That's a hard one.. but I'll go with Fantasy/Contemporary, solely because I'm so in the mood for these two genres, but I'm currently on exams mode so I can't read. Such a bummer!

10. Have you ever read a book that totally blew your mind? Which book?

I miss being blown away by books.. but my most recent one was Falling Into Place by Amy Zhang. Such a roller coaster of emotions. I was in tears by the end of it, not ugly crying though.. it was the perfect balance and it slowly became one of my favorites.

11. How many books do you want to read this year?

Let's see, I've set my goodreads goal for 2015 at 50 books, if I could get this done, I will up the challenge by 10 more books. I think I won't though, I have so much studying to do and in Summer, I'll take French courses and will be applying for colleges, but fingers crossed! :)♥

Lauren's Questions

1. What was your favourite class in school?

English. I always excelled in it and it was/is my favorite subject growing up. Along with Science maybe, but that didn't work out well with me.

2. What is your favourite movie quote?

I looove the one from Mean Girls when Tina Fey said that girls shouldn't degrade each other with words because if we did that to each other, it will seem okay for boys to call us that. I wish I googled the actual quote because it made me think right then, and it changed how I treat other people and I was extremely cautious with what comes out of my mouth.
3. If you were Prime Minister/President, what would be the first law that you would want to pass?

Gender equality & allow gay marriage everywhere/ gay rights.

4. Have you ever been given a detention? What for?

Haha that's a funny one. In fact, I have but only for not handing in my homework in time. I've always been a procrastinator, I hopefully will stop being one in the future... *probably not*

5. Sweet or Savoury?

SAVOURY ALL THE WAY. I think my teeth are sweet sensitive, haha!

6. Who is your favourite character from childhood?

Matilda! I surely won't be the only one who took her as an idol for being so smart. Plus, Roald Dahl is an amazing author. He's one of my faves.

7. Are there any books that you are inspired by?

I don't get inspired by books as much as I look up to the characters or learn from their mistakes, that kind of thing.

8. Do you have any middle names?

Noo, and I never understood how that worked, can somebody please care to explain in the comments? haha

9. What is your favourite book cover?

The Strange and Beautiful Sorrows of Ava Lavender. I already mentioned that in Filippa's questions, it's beautiful, isn't it?!

10. What TV shows can you recommend to someone who really needs to find a new show to obsess over (me)?

Hahaha this is another great question, I would recommend Arrow. It's an amazing TV show and I need to catch up!!! I hate exams agh.
Also, I need everyone reading this to tell me their favorite TV show in the comments. I watch TVD, PLL and Arrow.

11. What is your favourite social network site to share your blog posts, and why?

Twitter!! I feel like everyone's on twitter. Maybe Facebook as well.

Awwwww thank you thank you! I'm glad you agree with me on the answers, I felt like they were short and to the point and uninteresting.. hahaha *face palm*

      Thank you again gorgeous!!♥

  2. GOOD LUCK ON YOUR EXAMS!!!
I have to agree with you about A Thousand Pieces of You and The Strange and Beautiful Sorrows of Ava Lavender - they're both gorgeous.
I agree with your pick of Gale and Mare too, probably because I thought the guy from Mare's home village was like another version of Gale!
I would also definitely pick Noah Shaw to hang out with. Although maybe if I thought about it a bit more, I'd realise he is not the guy for me :')
I'm also really confused as to how come all the HP books don't fit in the box? The box that was made for them? How does that work?
As for middle names - I was given one by my parents when I was born, and took another one as my Confirmation name - a sacrament in my religion. I guess you get a middle name if your parents decide to give you one when you're born!
Now for TV shows: you NEED to at least try Teen Wolf!
    Anddddd I'll stop talking now!
    Thanks for nominating me! <3

    1. THANK YOU SO MUCH SABRINA!♥
YESSS that is also what I thought, I wrote that in my still to be published review omg hahaha, this book pretty much is a copy of THG.
Whyyy maybe is after all, we should give it a try, right? hahaha. I mean the boy is freaking beautiful.

HAHAHA I honestly don't know. To my luck, the box set is extremely distorted and disformed, and I don't want to squeeze them all in because they're my babies and I would'nt like hurting them or causing them to bend. (I'm lame, I know) hahaha

Ohhhh I get it now, thanks for clearing that up! I was so confused, but I think middle names are very interesting!♥

YES, my sister has been raving about Teen Wolf for like 2 years now or something and she wants me to watch it! I guess I'll give it a try after my exams and we'll see how that works out.. hahaha

THANK YOU FOR STOPPING BY, and I actually love long comments, they're so fun to read and respond to :)x

  3. Thanks for the nom, lovely!!!!!!!!!!!!! I'll try and get it done as soon as possible :)
I do believe the Shatter Me trilogy could be an amazing TV show if done right, and by that I include the special effects (as much as I love OUAT, the CGI is atrocious lol)
Agree on HP. Hands down my favourite series out there. I have others, true, but HP means so much to me that I can't pick another one. It's my entire childhood, teen years and it would be my adulthood as well hahahaha
Mean Girls is probably one of the greatest movies ever. Tina Fey is a genious. I never get tired of watching it and it always makes me laugh.
I hate Facebook with a passion. I have one but I never use it. I don't kow... but I prefer Twitter especially to complain and talk about my feelings over books, movies and TV shows LOL

    1. You're welcomeeeeee!!! I can't wait to read your answers♥
That's an interesting idea.. if only it was done right, YES! I kind of have an issue with books turning into TV Shows because of Delirium, hahaha. I haven't read nor watched both Outlander and Game of Thrones.. I know.. I need to though, maybe I'll change my thoughts on the idea. (And am I stupid for not knowing what these stand for...? *googling them*)

Awwwwww that is extremely sweet! I wish I had that connection with HP. I only started reading the series in 2012.. but better late than never right?! I still blame my mom for not directing me towards HP, I was a twilight girl. I know.

ME TOO, it's an amazing movie and has such a great message to younger teens out there as well :)♥

HAHAHA yes, I totally get you on that one as well. I had a phase where I hated facebook too! But I have over 1k friends on there, so it's a great platform to talk to friends and family etc.. but twitter is for ranting and talking to the people I like talking to (bloggers and other amazing internet people♥) SO TRUE

  4. Yay! You did it! I love your answers.
I know exactly what part you mean in Mean Girls, it is a great part and so true for high school.
As for my own middle name, Marion, it's my granny's name so I think my mum and dad just wanted to honour her without actually naming me Marion haha!
They are both gorgeous book covers too!
I'm not actually on Twitter, but should be soon, once I understand how to use it properly.
I will also be adding Arrow onto my list of shows to watch - it looks really good from what I've read so far on IMDB. Just need to find a copy/website to watch it as well as the time!

I knooooowww.. I need to have them in my life.. Darn myself for spending all my money on food.
Whaaaaat! You definitely should! It's like seriously the best thing ever. Once you get one, you should definitely tweet me♥ (preferably soon though, hahaha)
